Privacy Policy

Your videos stay on your phone. The app has no server to send them to, and we never see them.
Your videos
You pick which videos to open using Android's own file picker, so the app can read only the files you choose. It does not search your storage or your photo library.
All compression, trimming, cropping and format conversion runs on your phone. Finished videos are saved to the public Movies/Sebrod folder, where you can move, share or delete them like any other file. While an export is running the app keeps a working copy in its own storage, and removes it once the export finishes. Uninstalling the app deletes anything it still holds.
What we collect
Nothing about you personally. There is no account and no sign in. Your settings, such as low memory mode and any presets you save, are stored only on your phone.
During the current testing period only, the app reports anonymous usage and crash information through Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. This covers which features are opened, basic device details such as model and Android version, and the technical details of any crash. It never includes your videos, the text you type, or file names. Reporting starts switched off, the app asks before turning it on, and you can switch it off at any time from the menu under Share usage and crash data. This will be removed when the app is released publicly, and this page will be updated when it is.
Ads
The app is free and shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve those ads, Google may collect information about your device, including its advertising ID, device and network characteristics, an approximate location based on your IP address, and how you interact with the ads themselves. Google handles that information, not us, and we never receive it.
Google describes its practices at policies.google.com. You can reset or delete your advertising ID from your phone's settings, usually under Privacy and then Ads.
Permissions
The app asks for four permissions, and each one has a single purpose:
- Internet and network state, used only to load ads. Processing video needs no connection.
- Notifications, so the app can show export progress while you use other apps.
- Foreground service, so a long export keeps running until it finishes.
- Storage, on Android 9 and older only, so finished videos can be saved where your gallery will find them. Android 10 and newer do not need this permission.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
Since we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to send you or delete on request. To remove what is on your phone, delete any exported videos from your Movies folder and uninstall the app. For anything related to ads, use the Google link above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date at the top.
